TP Systems' AdoptionLynx on display at National Child Welfare Data and Technology Conference held in Washington D.C.

Vancouver, BC, June 14, 2006 (TP Systems Ltd.) - TP Systems announced today that it will exhibit its award-winning adoption system, AdoptionLynx, at the 9th National Child Welfare Data and Technology Conference to be held in Washington, DC from July 19-21, 2006.

“Choosing to exhibit AdoptionLynx at the National Child Welfare Data and Technology Conference was an easy decision,” says TP Systems President, John Thompson. “The three-day conference focuses on how improved information technology leads to improved data and practice, which is exactly the effect we envisioned AdoptionLynx to have on the adoption service sector.”

AdoptionLynx was developed in collaboration with the British Columbia Ministry of Children and Family Development to improve adoption service delivery to waiting children and prospective adoptive parents. Known as the Adoption Management System within the Ministry, AdoptionLynx is one of the tools that adoption workers can use to facilitate successful and permanent adoptions and manage their growing case loads.

A unique profile is created for each child in temporary and for each prospective parent. As the children and families move through the adoption process, the system supports adoption workers with the matching and placement of children with suitable families. AdoptionLynx’s supporting sub-systems further aid adoption workers with managing post-adoption issues such as out-of-country adoptions and letter and parcel exchanges.

Recently, the adoption system was the recipient of the Vancouver Island Advanced Technology Centre 2006 Technology Award for Innovative Excellence: Software or Electronic Service Delivery in recognition of its many innovative features. Most notable is the Pseudo-matching Module. This sophisticated matching process provides a wide variety of profile characteristics attributed to both children and prospective families. The detailed profile increases the likelihood of a successful match and results in adoption workers finding the best family to fit the child’s needs.
