TP Systems Welcomes the Adoption Council of Ontario as the Newest AdoptionLynx Client

Vancouver, BC, October 30, 2006 (TP Systems Ltd.) - TP Systems is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement to implement AdoptionLynx, adoption case management system, for the Adoption Council of Ontario. The Adoption Council of Ontario chose AdoptionLynx based on its ability to support the council’s AdoptOntario project.

The AdoptOntario project’s goals include finding permanent homes for Ontario children with special needs and children of diverse cultural and racial heritage, promoting awareness about adoption, and working towards timely responses for applicants wishing to adopt.

Originally developed for British Columbia’s Ministry of Children and Family Development to reduce the number of children in temporary care and the wait time for an adoption, AdoptionLynx supports the entire adoption process — from child and family registration to the reunion of adopted children and their birth families. The system is currently used by over 300 adoption professionals at the ministry.

AdoptionLynx differs from other adoption software due to its sophisticated matching process that compares a wide variety of profile characteristics attributed to both children and prospective families. The result is finding the best family to fit the child's needs, leading to fulfilling placements and a decrease in the number of children in temporary care.

The Adoption Council of Ontario plans to profile AdoptionLynx at the Adoption Resource Exchange in Toronto on November 11th. The council is scheduled to roll-out AdoptionLynx to pilot sites in six counties by January 2007, followed by a full roll-out across the province later in the same year.

The system will be used by adoption workers in Ontario’s fifty-three Child Aid Societies as well as by private adoption workers across the province. A public Website for the AdoptOntario campaign will be hosted by TP Systems.
